Yes! Many teachers wish to experience Garbanzo as a student in order to better support their students in using the site. We encourage teachers to create 'fake' student accounts for themselves.
In order for a teacher to create a student account for their own personal use, the teacher must use a separate email address than the one that is connected to their teacher account.
If you are trying to create a student account for yourself but do not have a second email address, you may be able to use your email address and add "student+" to the beginning. This creates an alias and works with Gmail addresses, but it does not always work with other servers. By using the "student+" alias, any messages will go to your existing email address; however, the system will recognize it as a different email.

Student account: student+janedoe@gmail.com
