Garbanzo is not a test-preparation program and does not include practice questions for the WIDA ACCESS test. However, it does support the kinds of language growth that WIDA measures.
Garbanzo helps students build proficiency in reading, listening, and understanding English through repeated exposure to meaningful, comprehensible texts. Lessons in Garbanzo Academy are designed to strengthen vocabulary, syntax awareness, and academic language (CALP)—the skills that contribute to success on assessments like WIDA ACCESS and, more importantly, to real-world language use across content areas.
In short, Garbanzo won’t “teach to the test,” but it will help students develop the language comprehension and literacy skills that underlie strong WIDA performance.
